Hi there! 

This is the space I've created for my things- I'm so happy your here and I get to share it with you!... I think it's every artists dream to have people see their creations, and now here we are! - So thank-you, truly, for taking the time.

 

So far, my main focus over the years has been on utilizing secondhand material and items to give them purpose again. As well as designing and carving my own linoleum stamps, and stamping just about everything under the sun!... which is how, I suppose, we got here!... I had started stamping t-shirts and sweaters, and was so lucky to have local support over the years to help me grow! But lately, I've also felt like I'd been limited on what I, personally, had been able to produce. I'm a mom of 2 first, a spouse, an employee and then an artist... So, in order to continue to follow my dreams, while maintaining everything else I balance - I've decided to, in a way, digitalize my work!.. -This is me, "keeping up with the times!"-

I've taken my old handcarved stamps (even ones that had been forced to retire due to their wear and condition), digitalized and modified them. Then I chose to pair with another Canadian owned company that will print and ship all the items to you in your favourite colour and size! This allows for less waste overall- and the exact peice you want. Also, all my designs are able to be on t-shirts, sweaters, ect. again!... However, I will not be hand stamping each one anymore - which kind of makes my heart sad, 'cause I've really enjoyed preparing, making, touching every single one of my peices sold! But also, my hands and mind are so excited to focus more on the art, and less on the "Ohh my goodness, where am I going to dry 100+ sweaters in my kitchen and livingroom right now!"...(Actually, I feel like this is a good time to thank my family again for all the times they carefully walked around all those hundreds of freshly stamped t-shirts and sweaters- never ruining one! Thank-you, your patience and support is everything!)

I've been lucky enough to be inspired by a beautiful place called Pelee Island my whole life! Located at the very bottom of Ontario - actually, the Southernmost inhabited point of Canada!- ...rests an incredibly diverse little plot of land within Lake Erie. Home to all kinds of plants, animals, fungus', and people- I could go on for days about all their is to learn, observe, and peacefully absorb over here- Anyways, I'm happy my family and I live here! (But if your here on the site, you might already know most of that!)

I'm fortunate to say I've got deep Kingsville/Pelee roots, as well as roots in the Saugeen First Nation. Forever reclaiming and reconnecting with my Chippewa/Ojibwe heritage has inspired me, and has definitely lead me to where I am today. I'm very proud of that, and who I've been able to become because I chose that path.
