'Pelee Island's Stary Nights'
Don't you find the nights on the island are just as incredible as the days!? -me too!
So, I created this fun take on the classic 'Stary Night' peice by Vincent Van Gough, to continuously remind us of the beautiful, clear, stary nights we have on the island! Here at the Southernmost point in Canada, (inhabited, that is), we have little to no light pollution - enabling us to get some of the best views of the stars, planets and solar system! It's truly beautiful!
Painting this peice was a labour of love, like all my upcycled creations! This one involved taking an 'old' canvas, getting it back to one colour, painting, painting, and painting to get all the layers just right... then re-enforcing the back to ensure the canvas was taut, and adding a semi-gloss clear coat to ensure it lasts and keeps it's vibrant colours!
