'Pelee-to-Me' Print

The design on this peice was originally carved into a linoleum stamp. A complete original made to show off a few of my favourites over here, 'Pelee-to-Me'. Peeking through you might see the salamander, he's meant to represent the small- mouthed salamanders we have over here. They are an endangered species that only live on Pelee Island.!.hiding right beneath us!

The turtle, quietly reminding us of so much. For many of us they represent our earth, part of our creation story and even our lunar calendar. Some of us are reminded of their wisdom and longevity- it doesn't matter which perspective though- they're incredible and we're lucky to have so many kinds of them on the island!

You may also notice the snails- did you know that Pelee Island is the 'Snail Watching Capital of Canada!? Ya can't miss it!

The pheasant, an absolutely beautiful bird!...and even though I may not agree with every aspect of the pheasant hunt, I can understand that it brings a large amount of revenue to the island, helping support our school and so many other aspects of our community- which allows us to grow in other ways and promote all the other beautiful things the island has to offer!

Anyways, I put alot of thought and care into this print, I hope you love it too!
